What to Expect
Congratulations on your new little one, whether it is your first, or you are building your family! When you are notified that you are being discharged, it is important to contact our office to set up the newborn weight visit. This initial weight check is your first visit with us and baby, and typically occurs one to two days after discharge from the hospital.
This initial visit is designed to ease your transition home, covering essential topics like feeding options, safe sleep practices, skin care, jaundice monitoring, umbilical care, and your postpartum well-being. Our providers bring extensive newborn care expertise, including specialized breastfeeding support from our Certified Lactation Counselor, Lauren. Whatever feeding method you choose, we respect your decisions and are committed to supporting your family’s unique journey.
